What are the Different Types of HPV Vaccines?
Currently, there are three HPV vaccines that have been approved by the
FDA
and are available in various countries:
Gardasil
- Protects against HPV types 6, 11, 16, and 18.
Gardasil 9
- Protects against nine HPV types (6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58).
Cervarix
- Protects against HPV types 16 and 18.
Gardasil 9 is the most commonly used vaccine today due to its broader protection.
