To become a CNM, a nurse must first complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and obtain licensure as a registered nurse (RN). Following this, they must complete a graduate program in midwifery, which typically includes a Master’s or Doctorate level degree. Finally, they must pass the certification exam administered by the AMCB.
