Upon receiving BI-RADS categorized images, gynecologists can take several steps based on the findings:
BI-RADS 0: Recommend additional imaging, such as ultrasound or MRI, for a more comprehensive assessment. BI-RADS 1 and 2: Continue routine screening and reassure the patient about the benign nature of findings. BI-RADS 3: Schedule short-term follow-up imaging to monitor any changes in the detected anomaly. BI-RADS 4 and 5: Refer the patient for a biopsy to determine the nature of the suspicious findings and plan further treatment if necessary.
