Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a common sexually transmitted infection that can lead to various health issues, including genital warts and different types of cancers such as cervical, anal, and oropharyngeal cancer. There are over 100 types of HPV, but around 14 high-risk types are responsible for most HPV-related cancers.
