A unicornuate uterus is a type of congenital uterine anomaly where only one half of the uterus forms. This condition occurs due to incomplete development of the Müllerian ducts during embryogenesis. The unicornuate uterus may be associated with a rudimentary horn, which may or may not communicate with the main uterine cavity.
