A Pap test, also known as a Pap smear, is a procedure used in gynecology to screen for cervical cancer. It involves the collection of cells from the cervix, which is the lower, narrow end of the uterus at the top of the vagina. This test can also detect changes in cervical cells that may turn into cancer later.
