What are the Types of Malpractice Insurance Policies?
There are primarily two types of malpractice insurance policies:
Occurrence Policies: These cover claims made for incidents that occurred during the policy period, regardless of when the claim is filed. Claims-Made Policies: These cover claims only if both the incident and the claim occur while the policy is in effect. Tail coverage can be purchased to extend coverage for claims made after the policy has lapsed.
