The treatment for ASCUS depends on the underlying cause. If HPV or another infection is detected, appropriate treatment will be provided. If the abnormal cells are persistent or if there are any signs of precancerous changes, more aggressive treatments such as cryotherapy, LEEP (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure), or other surgical options may be considered.
