Radical Trachelectomy: This involves the removal of the cervix, surrounding tissue, and the upper part of the vagina. It may also involve the removal of pelvic lymph nodes to ensure cancer has not spread. Simple Trachelectomy: This is a less extensive procedure where only the cervix is removed. It is less common and typically used for very early-stage cancers or precancerous conditions.
