A bladder ultrasound can be performed in two primary ways:
Transabdominal Ultrasound: The patient is asked to drink water to fill the bladder, which provides a clearer image. A gel is applied to the lower abdomen, and a transducer is moved over the area to capture images. Transvaginal Ultrasound: In some cases, a transvaginal ultrasound may be performed for a more detailed view. This involves inserting a special transducer into the vagina.
