Women are more commonly diagnosed with certain types of PH, such as idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension (IPAH). Hormonal factors, genetic predispositions, and autoimmune diseases more prevalent in women may contribute to this higher incidence. Additionally, pregnancy poses unique challenges and risks for women with PH.
