What is the Normal Range for Interspinous Diameter?
The normal range for the interspinous diameter is generally between 9.5 cm and 11.5 cm. Diameters below this range could indicate a risk for cephalopelvic disproportion (CPD), where the fetal head is too large to pass through the maternal pelvis. Conversely, a diameter within or above this range is usually considered adequate for vaginal delivery.
