What is Opdivo?
Opdivo
(nivolumab) is a type of immunotherapy known as a
checkpoint inhibitor
. It works by blocking a protein called PD-1, which is found on the surface of T-cells. By inhibiting PD-1, Opdivo helps activate the immune system to attack cancer cells.
