The anthropoid pelvis is one of the four main types of female pelvis shapes, the others being gynecoid, android, and platypelloid. Characterized by its oval shape, the anthropoid pelvis is elongated in the anteroposterior (front-to-back) dimension. This type of pelvis is often associated with a larger sacrum and more prominent ischial spines.
