To become a nurse practitioner in gynecology, one must first become a registered nurse (RN) by earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Afterward, they must complete a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a focus on women's health or gynecology. Additionally, they must obtain certification from a recognized body such as the National Certification Corporation (NCC).
