The daily pill should be taken at the same time every day for maximum effectiveness. Missing a pill or taking it at different times can reduce its efficacy and increase the risk of pregnancy. Many packs contain 21 active pills followed by 7 placebo pills, during which you may have a withdrawal bleed.
