How is Menopause Diagnosed?
The diagnosis of
menopause
is primarily clinical, based on the cessation of menstrual periods for 12 consecutive months. Blood tests measuring levels of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and estrogen may also be used to help confirm menopause.
