How Are Twins Diagnosed?
Twins are usually diagnosed through an
ultrasound
. An early ultrasound can detect the presence of multiple embryos as early as 6-7 weeks into the pregnancy. In some cases, a routine ultrasound at a later stage can also reveal the presence of twins.
