Ovulation pain itself does not affect fertility. In fact, some women use the occurrence of ovulation pain as a sign to time intercourse for conception purposes. However, if the pain is associated with underlying conditions such as endometriosis or pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), these conditions could potentially impact fertility and should be addressed with a healthcare provider.
