What are Gynecological Infections?

Common Types of Gynecological Infections

Bacterial Vaginosis (BV)
is a common condition caused by an imbalance of the bacteria normally present in the vagina. Symptoms include a grayish-white discharge with a fishy odor, itching, and burning during urination.
Yeast Infections
are caused by an overgrowth of Candida fungus. Symptoms include thick, white discharge, itching, redness, and swelling around the vaginal area.

Types of Gynecological Abscesses

Tubo-Ovarian Abscess
is a severe complication of PID where an abscess forms in the fallopian tube and ovary. Symptoms include severe pelvic pain, fever, and nausea.
Bartholin's Abscess
